Eggstravaganza 2017 Is In The Books!

17th Apr 2017 | Written by: Lexie Okeke and Nicole Livingston

WOW...what a day it was. Food, bounce houses, pony rides, a petting zoo, climbing wall, face painting, crafts, bungee jumping...and of course...Easter Eggs.  We're tired just reading that list of activities for kids and families.

After the day ended, we tallied more than 1,800 attendees and 150 volunteers! WOW! More than 20,000 eggs were picked up by our West Dallas children.  And even more importantly to us, the gospel was shared in some creative ways.  Our West Dallas children put together resurrection eggs and a cross faith craft. The author of The King's Entryway book joined us and helped give away the book. And we had a prayer table staffed by Ms. Annie and women from the community who attend Bible studies she hosts in the apartments.

An event this large isn't successful without the tireless dedication of staff and volunteers. Our sincerest thanks go out to these organizations that went above and beyond to bless our families:

Mercy Street Dallas
Mercy Street Church
Park Cities Presbyterian Church
Voice of Hope
West Dallas Community Church
West Dallas Outreach
West Dallas Community School
